Eventbrite

UKOLadmin

Eventbrite is a website that enables anyone who wants to organise an event to plan, set up ticket sales and promote events of any size.

Once events are set you can promote them using Facebook, Twitter and other social media tools directly from your website, and you can also search and buy tickets for other events.

Case studies

  •

Kim Wood, Project Manager for Blackpool Wyre & Fylde CVS, explains how Eventbrite has made it easier and cheaper to manage and run events while giving them a more professional edge.

  •
Jacqui Thompson, Community Learning Officer for Gateshead Libraries, explains how they used Eventbrite to organise and run a very successful 'e-Day' event. So successful that everyone is now asking when the next one will be!

Benefits

  • Easily allows you to promote events via Facebook and Twitter.
  • Can easily create custom mail out lists and can now integrate with Mail Chimp.
  • Can link to your Paypal account to manage ticket sales.

Considerations

  • More geared towards 'pay for' events where tickets have to be purchased.

karentoon Just thought I would share this quick little 'How to Guide' I have created for a community group which explains how to change the default invite text on an Eventbrite event.

This can be downloaded from our website at http://www.peterboroughwomenscentre.org.uk/downloads/?category=52 and click on the 'Eventbrite Questions' link

karentoon Eventbrite for us worked well for managing events, cut out the costs involved for admin and cut down on paperwork too. Leaving more trees in the forest!

Jacqui0 Eventbrite and Survey Monkey have recently merged so now you can send out a survey to all those who registered for a ticket.
